Quick answer: how to merge images into a PDF

Add your JPG or PNG images, put them in the order you want, then select Generate PDF. Each image becomes one page at its own resolution and the merged file downloads as images.pdf. Everything runs in your browser, so no image is uploaded.

  1. 1Drop or browse the JPG and PNG images you want to merge.
  2. 2Reorder the list so pages appear in the sequence you want.
  3. 3Remove any image you no longer need from the queue.
  4. 4Select Generate PDF to merge every image into one document.
  5. 5The merged PDF downloads as images.pdf straight from your browser.

Frequently asked questions

How do I merge multiple images into one PDF?

Add your JPG or PNG images, arrange them in the order you want, then select Generate PDF. Each image becomes one page in a single PDF that downloads as images.pdf.

Which image formats are supported?

JPG/JPEG and PNG are supported, because the merger embeds images with pdf-lib's JPEG and PNG embedding. Other formats such as HEIC, WebP, GIF, TIFF or SVG are not embedded and will report an error — convert them to JPG or PNG first.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The merge runs entirely in your browser with pdf-lib, so image data stays on your device and no file upload happens for this tool.

Is it free and does it add watermarks?

It is free with no sign-up, and the merged PDF contains only your images — no watermark, logo or added page is inserted.

Can I control page order?

Yes. The queue is ordered, and each row can be moved up or down or removed before merging, so the PDF page order matches the list exactly.

What page size does each page use?

Choose Auto to build each page at the source image's own pixel dimensions, or pick A4 (595 × 842 pt) or Letter (612 × 792 pt) with portrait or landscape orientation.

Can I add margins or change how the image fits the page?

Yes. Margins are adjustable from 0 to 72 pt, and page fit can be Contain (whole image, no crop), Cover (fills the page, may crop edges) or Stretch (distorts the image to the page box).

How do I make the PDF smaller?

Turn on “Reduce file size”. Images longer than your chosen maximum dimension (800–4000 px) are resized and re-encoded as JPEG at your chosen quality (40–100%). Keep quality at 80% or higher to keep text readable.

How many images can I merge at once, and how large?

Up to 50 images per merge, each up to 25 MB. Oversized, empty or non-JPG/PNG files are skipped with a message naming the file, and the rest still merge.

Can I re-download a PDF I made earlier?

Yes. The last 10 merges are kept in an export history on the page, with the date, page count, file size and the settings used. Re-download or delete any entry, or clear the whole history.

Where is my export history stored?

Only in this browser on this device (browser storage). It is never uploaded, is not shared between devices or browsers, and disappears if you clear your browser data or use private browsing.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes, it runs in modern mobile and desktop browsers with nothing to install. Large batches take longer on low-memory phones because all processing is local.
